Looking at the astrology, it seems that 2023 will be a year of great change for the world, but also a year full of opportunity! This is a time to do away with all systems and structures that are no longer serving us, and think of how we want to shape the world instead.

Mars And Mercury Direct (12 And 18 January)

Because the year starts off with both Mars and Mercury in retrograde, things may be feeling slow at the beginning of the year. As soon as Mars and Mercury go direct mid-January, things can suddenly be taking off.

During this period of retrograde, take a moment to reflect on your life. Where are you at right now? This is a good time to think of where you want to go, and to set goals for the year ahead.

Saturn Moves Into Pisces (9 March)

Saturn moving into Pisces marks an important change for all of us. It will nudge us all to turn inwards and determine where we are on a spiritual level. Saturn is serious, and Pisces is all about the emotional and the spiritual.

This shift will enforce the spiritual awakening process that the world has already set in motion. There is no way around it now..

Pluto Moves Into Aquarius (23 March)

On March 23, Pluto will move into Aquarius and stay there until June. This is a big one. Pluto is the slowest moving planet and stays in a sign for about 20 years. This means it is a generational planet.

With Pluto moving into a new sign, things will be shaken up all around the world. This is a recipe for turbulent times! It shifts into the sign of Aquarius, which is an energy that brings great technilogical advancement, but also a wave of rebellion.

Will this shift mark the downfall of our the world’s outdated systems and institutions? Will this accelerate a shift in consciousness and bring back power to the people? It all has to be seen, but it is sure that a huge shift will be taking place on earth.

In June, Pluto will go retrograde into Capricorn, before it moves back into Aquarius in 2024 to stay there for the next 20 years.

Solar Eclipse (20 April) And Lunar Eclipse (5 May)

Eclipses often mark a moment of change in our life. Although a solar eclipse can feel more bright, and a lunar eclipse can feel more emotional, both can manifest change in your life in a very intense way.

During eclipse season, best is to go with the flow. See what the universe has in store for you and be open to the changes. Before making big decisions, wait till the energy has settled down to see the clearing after the storm.

This solar eclipse is in Aries, and the lunar eclipse is in Scorpio. They are both very active, Mars ruled, energies, so expect to be propelled forward in some way or another.

Mercury Retrograde In Taurus (April 21 – May 14)

The second Mercury retrograde of the year is in Taurus, another earth sign. Hold back on any decisions that have to do with money and possessions. Take time for reflection, grounding yourself and spend some time in nature 🌿

Jupiter Moves Into Taurus (17 May)

Right after Mercury comes out of retrograde in Taurus, Jupiter moves into Taurus. The focus is still on money, work and possessions, but this time in a more positive way! Jupiter brings this area under attention and will create lots of potential for you here.

Look out for opportunities when it comes to work, your own business, finances or charity work. Good times are coming!

Pluto Retrograde Into Capricorn (June 11)

After a short stint into Aquarius, Pluto now goes retrograde into Capricorn until the beginning of 2024 (when it will stay in Aquarius for the next 20 years).

This Pluto retrograde is expected to stir the pot once again. It will be the end of many rigid structures as we know them, and will bring any dishonesty to the surface. Sit tight. This is going to be interesting..!

Mercury Retrograde In Virgo (23 Aug – 15 Sep)

Yes, another earth sign. This seems to be the theme this year! With this third Mercury retrograde in an earth sign (3 is a charm after all), we will know exactly how to take a step back. Breathe, relax and get back down to earth.

Slow down, ground yourself. Spend time in nature. Reflect on how your doing. Do some gardening 🍃

Solar Eclipse (14 Oct) And Lunar Eclipse (28 Oct)

This solar eclipse will be in Libra, while the lunar eclipse will be in Taurus. The energy will be ruled by Venus (where the last eclipses were ruled by the opposing Mars energy!), therefore this eclipse season will be more gentle on you.

This is a time to ask yourself how you relate to the world and what is the state of your relationships. Are you taking good care of others and of yourself? Get back into your body and nourish it properly. If you don’t feel good, you can’t help others after all. Make this your focus this month.

Mercury Retrograde Capricorn/Sagittarius (13 Dec – 1 Jan)

What a way to end the year. A final Mercury retrograde that will force us to slow down before we enter the new year. Take this time to reflect on the year while you take some time off work and other obligations.

Meditate, be patient and act with care. Recharge and get ready for another year ahead! 😌

A Year Of Reflection & What’s Next..

2023 is all about a world ruled by the energies of water and earth (especially in the second half). It is really a good time to focus on our physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

Make sure to focus on a healthy diet, enough exercise, having a meditation practice and doing plenty of grounding activities. This is a year of great change for all of us, and we have the opportunity to help guide it in a direction that we think is best! 🙂
